The
five star Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel, Prague is located just off
the famous boulevard, Wenceslav Square, in the heart of the commercial

Originally
constructed in 1930 as the Alcron Hotel it enjoyed the enviable
reputation of being Jazz-age Pragues 'in' hotel. Today under the
management of the Radisson SAS this luxurious hotel can once again
command center stage. The hotel has its own underground parking
garage, boutiques, a concierge and 24-hour limousine service.This
deluxe Art Deco building has been meticulously restored to its former
glory. Much of the interior was preserved, including the weighty
chandeliers, the rich Italian marble and the creamy "milk glass"
seen throughout the hotel. Within are 211 luxurious, airy rooms
and suites with high ceilings and classic period furnishings. |
Location
: Located 50 mt to Wenceslaw Square which is a historical and
cultural center founded by the famous king Charles IV., and takes
a major part in modern Prague society. Wenceslaw Square today is
the center of the city and it is a marvelous combination of old
architecture, modern buildings and business centers. In the area
around Hotel Palace operate several department stores, luxury shops,
theatres and large number of private restaurants, cafes and clubs. |

The hotel's chic Art Deco BeBop bar situated near the lobby is a
popular pre-meal meeting place for cocktails and snacks. Here waiters
glide past in crisp long white aprons while live jazz is played
by local musicians.
Alcron Restaurant
Top luxury, that is exactly what the new restaurant has written
in its birth certificate. The top clients should feel comfortable
in their top restaurant providing the best service, best atmosphere
and food quality. Providing attractive dining in an unformal atmosphere,
the Alcron will fight for the best: clientelle (having 30 seats
at maximum), atmosphere (re-hired the awarded designer of the hotel
interior Mrs. Maria Vafiadis) and service quality (competing for
the Michelin guide rating). The present chef, Mr. Zdenek Pohlreich
brought the Radisson SAS hotel's cuisine to its current popularity.
He is fully responsible for the new restaurant Alcron concept and
he will be in charge of the new restaurant operation. His success
factors are: freshest possible ingredients, constant quality of
the food, service smart but little casual, not stiff and old fashioned,
reasonable pricing of the menu and wine list. Asking him what his
message to the public regarding the new Alcron restaurant would
be, he replied: "Catch of the year - The finest Fish and Seafood
restaurant in town."
