The
hotel was open on April 21st in 1909 and built in Viennese Art Nouveau
style. The design was the work the work of František Buldro, a Prague
builder and the owner of the hotel, together with George Justich,
the architect. In 1924, after Mr. Emanuel Oppel bought the building,
Hotel Palace Praha became a sought-after center of social and cultural
life and one of the few luxury 5-star hotels in Prague.Hotel Palace
Praha´s first epoch of long duration ended on January 1st 1986 when
it was closed. |
After lengthy deliberations among experts and the general public,
the idea was formed that the hotel should be thoroughly but sensitively
renovated.Its original character was preserved using the so-called
"house within a house" renovation scheme, i.e., keeping
intact the outer wall and facade. It reopened in 1989 and since
then has been offering top service and a home away from home to
many prominent personalities from around the world.
Location : Located 50 mt to the middle of Wenceslaw Square which
is a historical and cultural center founded by the famous king Charles
IV., and takes a major part in modern Prague society. Wenceslas
Square today is the center of the city and it is a marvelous combination
of old architecture, modern buildings and business centers. In the
area around Hotel Palace operate several department stores, luxury
shops, theatres and large number of private restaurants, cafes and
clubs.
Room Details : Hotel Palace Praha offers 124 luxury fully
air-Conditioned rooms, including suites, for single or double occupancy.
All rooms are furnished with period furniture, a colour television
set with satellite programming, prepaid television channels and
access to the internet.

telephones and the option of connection a fax or a computer. The
bathrooms are lined with Carrara marble and of a Art Nouveau design.
The Hotel has a wide range of suites available, from Junior Suite

An uncommon culinary experience in the typical atmosphere of an
English Club from the beginning of the twentieth century, with an
open fireplace and live piano music is featured by the Gourmet Club
Restaurant & Lounge. Its excellent service with authentic silverware

(e.q. L'EPOQUE Restaurant, or the GOURMET PALACE LOUNGE) by an informal
offering of meals and beverages.
Hotel Palace Praha offers standard
