After complicated renovations the four-storey V.J. Rott building
has re-opened its doors as a comfortable hotel. The hotel has a
beautifully decorated neo-Renaissance facade and frescos done by
the famous painter Mikolas Ales. Since the 19th century the "Rott
House" has offered unbelievable views of the towers and roofs
of Prague's historic core.

Square" together with the bigger Old Town Square forms one
historic, aesthetic entity, where the V.J. Rott family opened their
ironmonger's shop in the first half of the 13th century.
