was built at the beginning of the 20 century and it is till today one of the most important cultural monuments of the Art-Nouveau architecture in the Czech Republic.
Francouzská restaurant - the most beautiful Art-Nouveau restaurant worldwide. It is illuminated by the original historical chandeliers and walls are covered by silk wall papers. Restaurant is furnished by original furniture. Plzeńská restaurant - located under the Francouzská restaurant, it is Czech beer hall from the beginning of the century. Coffee Shop - located on the ground floor, rightly regarded as one of the most beautiful Art-Nouveau coffee shops in Prague. TROJA CHATEAU is situated on the right bank of the river Vltava, where the river turns northwards and flows out of the city. The building was constructed and the garden landscaped in 1679-1685 after a design by J.B. Mathey in the style of Italian suburban villas. The interiers are decorated with wall and ceiling paintings by Italian and Dutch artists. Original outbuildings are currently used as a restaurant, gardens are in French style. The chateau was reconstructed in the 1980s and is one of the masterpieces of Czech Baroque art. A part of the chateau has been used for lectures, concerts and theatre productions.
TOSKANSKÝ PALACE is an early baroque building of Roman style built in 1689-1691 by the project of the famous architect J.B. Mathey. The Palace closes the Hradcany square area and forms a counterweight to the western front of the Prague Castle. Routs, receptions, banquets and also historical galas can be arranged in seven various rooms and spaces of the renowned Toskánský Palace. The individual reconstructed halls date from the 12th - 17th century and offer place for 550-600 persons. For instance, the former stable with arched ceilings and a fountain offers an ideal space for routs with the capacity up to 300 persons. The restaurant is stylish furnished and offers an enjoyable and restful gathering. The wine parlour is situated in the Roman cellar spaces with Gothic vault. It is divided into two rooms.
NEW TOWN HALL with its conspicuous tower stands at the nothern end of the Charles Square. First recorded reference to it dates from the second half of the 14th century when it already had two two-storeyed wings housing municipality offices as well as a prison. After several reconstructions it acquired its current appearance, with four wings and an arcaded courtyard. The two halls with reticulated vaulting on the ground floor are particularly remarkable. It is currently used for official functions and cultural events, and only on those occasions can one inspect the interiors and admire yet another view of Prague from the top of the tower.The most representativ Great Hall is in the style of gotique.
